

During the war of 1941, part of the property of the artel was evacuated to the town of Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast, the rest part of the artel was destroyed.
In January 1944 the artel proceeded with its work. 12 people and 2 manual looms were involved in the manufacturing process. The looms produced 5 running metres of fabric per day.

In 1971 the BSSR Ministry of Local Industries founded an industrial weaving association “Red October” on the basis of three weaving mills based in Rechitsa, Korma and Vetka with the main production lines located in Rechitsa and 1942 employees.

In 1971 shuttle looms AT-175, AT-100, ATM-175 were used at the enterprise of the association.

In 1975 terry towels, produced at the enterprise, were the first among other enterprises of textile industry to be given State Quality Mark.

In 1994 the enterprise was one of the first to certify the production of weaving items.
In January 2003 the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Red October” became the Joint Stock Company “Rechitsa Textile”.

2004-2005 — preparing for the global technical reequipment, boiler-house reconstruction at the affiliate ¹2 in Korma and full boiler-house reconstruction at main enterprise in Rechitsa with the installment of 5 boilers (2 of them working on steam and 3 — water-heating).
Search of new assortment and the hi-tech equipment.
2006 — project introduction “Organization of terry fabric production” with the installment of new European equipment.
2007 — full upgrade of all buildings and plant constructions of the main enterprise, with thermal rehabilitation and partial replacement of flat roofs on pitched roofs, with use of modern finishing materials.
The accomplishment of industrial platforms and adjoining territories is made.
2008 — introduction of clipping technology of terry products as new project in The Republic of Belarus at the affiliate in Korma within the limits of the project “Reconstruction of the Affiliate ¹2”
2009-2010 — realization of the project “Organization of weaving and sewing home textile production, the 1st and the 2nd turn” with use of leading European weaving jacquard equipment and introduction of the automatic hemming transfer line of terry products.
The volume of investment for five-year period (2006-2010) has grown in 13,8 times and has made the sum more than 37 billion of rubles.

Export deliveries are of top-priority among the activities of the enterprise. Today deliveries are maintained to many regions of Russian Federation stretching from Khabarovsk to St.-Petersburg, to the Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic States and far-abroad countries.
